"Tallulah is a joy - truly a member of the family. We're so fortunate she found us!" --Kim An update (08.12.09): She’s doing great - 32lbs. and the vet said she doesn’t think she’s got any lab in her after all. Instead she leans toward a mix of Husky and Border Collie or some other herding type of dog. I’d love to hear how Tanner has turned out to see if his vet thinks the same thing! She’s sweet natured, playful and buddies with Ethan. She waits for him to wake up in the morning and rushes to him if she hears him call me at night. We have a baby gate on his door, to protect her from all of his tiny LEGOs, etc. So she sits there patiently and often sleeps outside of his door. If not there, then somewhere near Shawn. We’ve had our fair share of “puppy damage” but nothing unexpected and all worthwhile! She’s really a sweet little thing - smaller than we expected but with such a big spirit it’s hard to mind. She should be roughly 8 months old now and still full of puppy energy - we’re looking forward to the "grown up" dog she will become! Kimberly An update (05.16.09): Just wanted to send you a quick update on Tallulah! She’s doing great - she just had her checkup at our vet and everything looks good. She’s 22+ lbs. now and really enjoying the back yard fence now that it’s finally in! She’s made great friends with the dog next door and they visit through the fence daily. We go on a walk every day, in the morning before it gets too warm. Shawn has several photos of her on his phone - I’ll ask him to send a couple along to you! She’s getting to be all legs! Take care, Kimberly We wanted to make sure whoever adopted Tallulah knew and understood Huskies, living in the heat and humidity of North Carolina. When Kimberly, Shawn and their son Ethan first saw her during our adoption event at a local PetSmart, they fell madly in love. While discussing Tallulah with the Kimberly, she told us that she grew up with Huskies in Florida! A perfect match if ever there was one! |
