UPDATE - June '07: Michael and Callie are now living in California! Michael took on a new teaching job there and so they packed up their things and drove 'cross country, making a few stops along the way to visit family. Michael said Callie hung tight for the entire trip, spending most of the time asleep in the backseat.

Callie's adjusted to the new environment and is living in a lovely house with a nice fenced yard, enjoying the comfortable Bay Area climate. There's also a house up in the Sierras belonging to Michael's family so they go up there to hike and swim in the river below the house. Back home, there's lots of off-leash hiking trails in the Redwood Regional Park and Callie and Michael enjoy a 3 mile hike each week. In a recent email, Michael noted, "Callie has become the greatest companion for me. I'm so lucky that I found her and I have you to thank for bringing us together!"

Callie is finally home! She is living in a beautiful house with her new dad. Once settled, she was immediately enrolled in obedience classes. The first day there saw her as Miss Popularity and people couldn't help but be attracted to her. She became a model student and caught on quickly to all the basic commands, progressing with excellence. Her preference of sleeping in her crate continued in her new home and she had no problems adjusting to the routine.

She's been to church with her dad on Pet Sunday and enjoyed meeting the other dogs, behaving very well during the service. She also loves going to the Reedy Creek dog park and running around with the other dogs there. Her dad, Michael says she's made a positive impression on the neighbors and he's taken the opportunity to spread the word about Crossroads!

Michael could not be happier, saying, "...[Callie] is a wonderful addition to the family (me!) ... She's a beautiful, sweet-loving dog! Everyone I meet just loves her."
