COMING UP! On Sunday, August 22nd, you will not see the members of Crossroads Animal Rescue loafing around, because we will be taking part in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control, and the Great Harvest Bread Company's 4th Annual Animal Kneads Day! The event will run from 10am - 4pm on Sunday at the Great Harvest Bakery (in Piper Glen, directions). Stop by and make a $10 donation, and you'll get a free loaf of bread! One hundred percent of the funds raised through this event go towards CharMeck's spay/neuter program, and over $7,500 was raised at last year's event! Here's hoping for another successful year raising funds and awareness for "kneady" animals. See you there!

Mona has been adopted!

Laila has been adopted!

In loving memory of our beautiful, floppy-eared Bassett Hound girl, Emmie (once Clementine), who passed away late last week, and in tribute to her wonderful mom, Lisa. In their nearly three years together, Emmie was loved, spoiled and enjoyed beyond measure, and she will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Click on Emmie's picture to the left to read a beautiful farewell from Lisa, in which Emmie is most fondly remembered as "Houdini", the master canine escape artist. Rest in peace, dear one. You will never escape from our hearts.

Both Lilly and Bella have been adopted!
