Status: Adoptable Name: Blue DOB: March 23, 2010 Breed: Boxer/German Shepherd Mix Sex: Male Weight: N/A Predicted Adult Weight: 55-65 lbs. Vet Work: Current puppy vaccines, neutered, microchipped How is Blue with... Other Dogs: Plays well with other dogs. Cats: Likes to play chase with cats- the better question is: will your cat like Blue? =) Children: Will be fine with children. House-training Status: Doing very well. Pee pads for emergency only. Crate-training Status: Coming along very well. Leash-training Status: Does best on a harness. General Personality and Energy Level: Has learned 3 commands: sit, lay down, and roll over. Blue is a little timid around small children. He does not show aggressive behavior, but has growled at small children on several occasions. I believe this is due to lack of exposure to kids, and is 100% correctable with the right family and patience. History: Blue, his mother, and six other brothers and sisters were rescued from the Goldsboro, NC animal shelter. Laila, a beautiful German Shepherd mix was scheduled to be euthanized unless someone stepped in and got her out. She went into labor at the shelter, and fortunately they were kind enough to hold her and her seven precious babies for five days until the puppies were stable enough to travel the long, four hour journey to Charlotte with their new foster mom and dad. |
